Plagiarism

Plagiarism involves drawing on the  work of others (ideas, texts, design, art, music, etc.) without giving proper credit to those who did the original work.

Many higher education institutions use plagiarism detection software to check if assignments contain plagiarism. Intentional plagiarism is considered misconduct and likely to be sanctioned if detected.

Unintentional  plagiarism can be avoided by proper use of references and quotes.
