Invited to become co-author?

Your supervisor is very excited about the material you cite in your draft. She mentions that a Ph.D. student in her group is working on a larger project on how nursing home residents experience the corona crisis in 2020, and that your data would fit very well into a research paper she is preparing.

She is especially happy about some of the quotes from the interview. A quote that you actually transcribed from memory.

If the data ends up being used in the paper, you will be invited to become co-author, which would mean a lot for your possibilities for doing more research in the future.

You still haven’t told your supervisor that one of the interviews was transcribed from memory.

What do you do?
